the pull behind

KB tied some butcher's twine to the Ralph Knox toy and is trying to teach roslyn to pull it around.

Interesting. We're not there yet, but working on it.

Roslyn tried using the toy as a skate board there for a minute.

And she gets so frustrated.

birthday parties

ok, so today is Mathews 5th birthday. we were invited over, 1-2:30. Sounds OK. We get there and of course all of the kids are having a great time. Roslyn was a little tentative, but loosened up after a while.

All of the adults are pretty much standing around looking like dummies. I'm thinking that it's lunch time and at some point maybe a drink will be offered, or some nibblies. nothing.

play time, present time. cake time (we did a piece of cake but only the kids were offered milk!) WTF?

then it was over.

I almost went out to the car and got my coffee (which I couldn't enjoy because we were late this this gig. (but were the first ones there.) hmmm.

ok. note to self. IF we have kids and their parents over for Roslyn's birthday, which ever one that might be...) it's going to be a party for the adults too. Milk all around (and beer...whatever we have brewed and bottled) and definitely some nibblies savory only....cake up when it's birthday time.

And if we have a pinata....it needs to work.

that was a weird two hours of my life. But, happy birthday mathew. Hope you had a great day.

Try not to hurt Roslyn at day care tomorrow, you spaz.
